Toronto Aeros Future Stars Fall Tournament Rules
- Hockey Canada and O.W.H.A. Rules shall apply except where listed below
- Teams must be registered with Hockey Canada, OWHA, Hockey USA, or IIHF
- All teams from outside Canada require a travel permit, certified roster and medical insurance
- Teams must be able to produce birth certificates upon request
- Players must be registered as a member of your team to be eligible to play
- Team representatives must check in to the registration desk one (1) hour prior to the teams first game
- Teams must be available to play thirty (30) minutes prior to any scheduled games
- There is a maximum of seventeen (17) skaters plus two ( 2) goaltenders allowed per team, as well maximum of five ( 5) coaches, managers or Trainers on the bench
- There will be a timed three ( 3) minute warmup beginning when the Zamboni doors close
- Failure to start the game on time will result in a two (2) minute delay of game infraction
- All games in the Int AA- Mid AA - Bantam AA will consist of three (3) periods of 15-15-15 minute stop time periods. All other division games will be 10-10-12 Stop time in length
- In the event a five (5) goal spread takes place in the third ( 3rd) Period the clock will run until a (3) goal margin is back in place
- Intent to injure and fighting penalties will result in the player being expelled from the game and the remainder of the tournament
- All players will wear approved BNQ neck guards at all times
- Round robin play will determine overall placement of teams
- Each team will be awarded Two (2) points for a Win, one (1) point for a tie and Zero (0) points for a loss
- There will be no timeouts or overtime periods in round robin play
- In the event of a tie after the completion of the round robin series, the following tie breakers will be used in this order and used only once through the process (A) Most Wins (B) Record against other tied teams (C) goals for minus goals against (D) Lowest Goals Against (E) Most Goals For (F) Least Penalty Minutes (G) Earliest goal in the tournament (H) Toss of a coin
- Intermediate WILDCARD will be known as the overall fourth (4th) place finisher in the division and in the event of a tie the tie breaker rules (18) will be in effect
- Overtime will be played in Semi-final and Championship games only. Overtime will be sudden victory. It will consist of one five- (5) minute stop time period. If still tied at the end of the overtime, the tie will be broken by a three (3) player shoot out. Opposing players will start simultaneously from center ice until all three (3) players have taken their shots. If Still tied, subsequent single shots will be conducted as Sudden victory from rotating shooters remaining on the bench. Players are only to be used once in the overtime shootout until the entire bench is used if needed, alternate goalie not included. Teams do not change ends after the third period
- Three Sudden Victory Shooters must be identified on the game sheet prior to the start of any Semi Final or Championship Game. Any player serving a penalty that has not yet expired by the end of sudden death may not participate in the shoot out and will remain in the penalty box. If designated prior to the start of the game a designate will be chosen from the bench
- One Thirty (30) second timeout will be granted for Semi Finals and Championship Games Only
- Home teams will wear their Lightest colored jersey and Visitor will wear their darkest set of jerseys
- In all OWHA sanctioned games the center ice red line will be in play for icing infractions only
- All decisions of the tournament organizing committee and it's officials are final with no appeals
