What an exciting time in female hockey as Sportacular Events is pleased to offer numerous dates for your female high school hockey athletes across Ontario this 2002-2003 OFSAA Season. Sportacular Events operate with a community minded spirit, with everything we do. Each event we host, organize and administrate allows us to put, "Something back into the community".

Sportacular Events charity of choice for female hockey this season is, The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (www.CBCF.org). You will be honored to know that 5% of your tournament revenues are directed to this foundation in an effort to help find a cure and increase awareness to the cause. It is our intention that we will be also donating an additional 5% of tournament revenues to OFSAA to create an athletic bursary program, however details have yet to be finalized and approved.

We offer a wide selection of 1 and 2 day tournaments to choose from, to minimize the amount of time your students are away from class and allow you greater flexibility.
To supply a unique opportunity for those attending, wherever possible at our Tournaments you will see and meet members of our Canadian National Women's Olympic Gold Medal team in attendance where their personal schedules permit. Watch the website for confirmations!
While in attendance you will have opportunities to participate in special ticket draws for Team Canada Autographed Items, jerseys, sticks, gloves, and some pretty unique and cool clothing.

Although our tournaments are NOT sanctioned at this time, we stress that All players participating in these tournaments MUST be in good Academic & Athletic standing as per the OFSAA Regulations. Any USA Teams will be classified according to Tournament Directors ability and information received.

Unfortunately NO NWHL Players will be permitted to participate.
Teams may combine to create a team entry but NOT for OFSAA Provincial Championships.
CHA Rules are in effect for all tournaments unless noted for specific tournaments.

Tournament Registration Fees Include:

All games played between 8am - 4:30pm
Divisional Championship & Runner up Awards
We use a slightly different Team Roster Seeding format. This allows us to hopefully direct teams into a suitable and preferred level of competition. This is done so by identifying each player on your teams current status of ability. See Team Roster forms for more details.
ELITE Tournaments will feature "LONGER Games" of 3 x 15 Minute Stop Time Periods
No Spectator Gate fees
Use Certified CHOP Officials for games
On Site a Certified Level 2 HTCP Trainer
Special Bus Rates and Hotel packages are available upon request
While you are in town how about catching an exciting action packed NWHL Hockey Game? Ask for details to have your high school team as guests Compliments of an NWHL team - How cool! Checkout where the BEST ELITE Female hockey players compete in! See numerous members of the Canadian National Women's Under-22 & Senior Women's National Olympic Team at these games.

Divisions Offered:
A-B-C-D Divisions are offered for all tournaments.
The Elite Divisions require teams capable of competing in the A division.
Some tournaments may have divisions combined based on actual registration. All registrants will be contacted if this need arises.

Additional Services

Our professional digital photographers to capture those special actions shots and team photos at a very affordable Sportacular Event tournament rate.
"Feed the Team" lunch packages are available where listed and consist of 2 X-L Pizza and 2 Large Pitchers of Soft Drinks for only $35 taxes included. That's about $2.50 per player!
We pay for volunteers! Do you have staff who would like to offer their services at a tournament for a full day? If so, please let us know and we'll pay them if we have a need for their services.
Community Service Hours. If you have a student(s) who need a few hours to complete their Community Service Needs, we can hopefully help as well. We are eager to assist in this program wherever possible, just give us a call.

Tournament Locations:
All arenas have been chosen keeping in mind their close proximity to the Ontario 400 Series Highways and their close proximity to hotels and shopping needs.

Iroquois Sports Complex - Whitby Ontario
A self contained entertainment center which contains 6 NHL Sized arenas, Full Pro Shop, Full restaurant, Swimming pools, coach and team meeting rooms, Huge outdoor green space, extreme outdoor skateboard and roller blade park, lot's of hot water, full concession stands complete with vending and special needs capabilities. Lots of free parking

The Canlan Ice Sports Complex: Scarborough & Etobicoke
Both Canlan Ice Sports facilities located in Scarborough and Etobicoke have 4 NHL Sized arenas. The largest dressing rooms with lot's of hot water Full Pro Shop, Coach and team meeting room, 500-seat restaurant, various vending and special needs capabilities. Conveniently located just minutes away from all the Ontario "400 Series" Highways. Check out their site for maps and individual facility details
