YOUR PATIENCE IS ALWAYS REQUIRED
As you know with a tournament of this sheer size and magnitude we are bound to have some awkward bumps and hurdles which will naturally take place and interrupt a smooth flow.
This event is similar in nature to running an Election, with numerous sites feeding information to a main site. We have 22 Pads of Ice in operation with 11 Arena Complexes in Total we are overseeing.
We do ask that you understand there are over 380 Volunteers behind th escenes donating over 3700 hours towards this event.
Whenever possible please take a moment to say thanks to make them feel appreciated and supported.

Please make sure you share this website address with your parents and players to allow them to keep updated on new things happening at the tournament. Please inform them however we only answer questions from Immediate Staff while the tournament is running.

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PADLOCK AND KEYS
- Some arenas may NOT supply their own Dressing Room Keys & Locks so please ensure you have on hand 1-2 Padlocks & extra keys just in case.
- Team Officials will be responsible to trade car keys for dressing room keys at the ARENA RECEPTIONS area that do so. Our Arena convenors will NOT be handling dressing room keys and assignments will be posted on the arena dressing room allocation boards normally located in the main lobby.
- To ensure accuracy we do not write on our game sheets dressing room assignments.

FINAL TEAM CHECK IN PROCEDURES
- ALL TEAM MANAGERS OR OFFICIAL MUST ARRIVE AT HEADQUARTERS to check in your team Minimum of 1 HOUR BEFORE YOUR FIRST SCHEDULED GAME. Failing to do so may result in Defaulted games applied to your team if needed.
- This person MUST come prepared with all the appropriate paperwork required for this tournament.
- Please come directly to the Tournament Headquarters located inside SOUTH FLETCHERS ARENA.
- The actual TEAM FINAL CHECK IN AREA will be located on the Second floor of the arena complex.
- Please enter into ARENA # 2 and take the stairs up into the spectator Stands and go directly to the top of the stands. Once up there please continue to follow the signs to this area.
- We must see you personally to conduct our final registration process to check and verify all your team document.
- We will have the Headquarters Office Open on Thursday Night from 6pm – 9:30pm for any teams traveling in or local teams wishing to have this process taken care sooner rather then later.
- HEADQUARTERS OFFICE will be open for teams to come register FRIDAY @ 8:00AM
- When you are formally Checked in, you will recieve a Package of Sponsors Goodys for your Team
- You will also sign for these items at that time.
TEAM TOURNAMENT COMMEMORATIVE PLAYER PROGRAMS
Each team will be receiving Complimentary Tournament Programs, which will be available at the ARENA for your first game. When you arrive at your first game of the tournament the Volunteer / Convenor on site will supply each team team with their Commemorative Player Tournament Programs and a team official will sign upon receipt of these.
PLAYER AND TEAM DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED INFORMATION
- All USA Registered Teams will be required to produce a Photocopy of your Official USA Hockey Roster as well your USA Travel Permits
- All OWHA Registered Teams will be required to produce a their original or photocopy of their Official OWHA Player Participant Form (PPF) for our review and any change of participant information.
CALL UP & PICKUP PLAYERS & PAPERWORK
- Please Refer to the 2007-2008 OWHA Handbook please review pages 31 to 41. Feel free to Click on the Handbook Photo for your direct link to the www.owha.on.ca
- You need to be very clear on this ruling as it is the TEAMS Responsibilty to be aware and use the proper forms and documents.
- Players may only compete with 1 team and in 1 tournament this weekend.
- Please be clear and read the OWHA pick-up rules for tournaments.
FORMS & PAPERWORK REQUIRED
- Various Forms are available at the OWHA Site Link www.owha.on.ca/forms.asp
- For any player of this category provided the Call Up or Pickup does not exceed the roster rules as listed above- OR Replace a Suspended Player
- Any OWHA player NEW to your roster (PPF) should have the appropriate properly signed “Change of Participant Form” we will require to view a copy of this as well.
- Any OWHA player new to your roster that had a “Change of Participant Form” we will require a copy of this as well.
- BE SURE this paperwork is filled in correctly,dated correctly and that you have chosen the correct form for OWHA Sanctioned Tournaments.
- REMEMBER YOU CAN NOT REPLACE A SUSPENDED PLAYER ON YOUR ROSTER WITH A CALL UP PLAYER.
GAME SHEETS - LABELS & ELIGIBILITY
- If for some reason an adjustment to your players or staff has inadvertently not shown up on the game sheets it is your responsibility to change and add player names and #s on ALL 3 copies of the game sheets for accuracy.
- Players and staff will sign ALL Game sheets and if ABSENT they must be marked ABSENT in place of their signature.
- Each team is requested to ensure when filling in your game sheets you write in your OWHA or USA HOCKEY Team # in the section at the top for all game sheets if not filled in beforehand.
- For Elimination - Quarter Final - Semi Final & Championship Game. If you have Game Sheet Labels please bring some with you as they may help save some time filling in game sheets.
HOUSELEAGUE TEAMS
- We will have on hand Pinnies in the event of Color Conflicts with your jerseys.
- Please try to obtain a 2nd set of jerseys through your association to allow you to be prepared and help avoid conflicts where ever possible. Thank you.
- SIGNING ALL GAMESHEETS: Most House league programs do not sign the game sheets weekly for their games. However in a Tournament such as this please let all your players and parents know when they arrive in an arena they should go directly to the areas designated to sign all game sheets.
NECK GUARDS AND MOUTHGUARDSFOR CLARIFICATION PURPOSES:
- ALL USA TEAMS - THESE ARE MANDATORY MOUTHGUARDS AS PER USA HOCKEY
- ALL CANADIAN TEAMS - THESE ARE MANDATORY BNQ NECKGUARDS AS PER HOCKEY CANADA
SUSPENSIONS
- Any player or staff currently serving suspensions must be indicated on the game sheets in the usual manner.
- This information is to be placed in the area where the player(s) of Coach Staff signature would normally go. I.E. (Serving Game 2 of 3)
ASA ACCOMODATIONS REPRESENTATIVE ON SITE FRIDAY
All Sport Accomodations will have a booth setup in Headquarters to assist you with any questions or concerns regarding your accomodations.
OPENING CEREMONIES - 1pm South Fletchers Arena Friday March 21, 2008
- This year’s 41st Anniversary Opening Celebration and Ceremonial Puck Dropping will include numerous dignataries & sponsors and will be held on Friday March 21st @ 1PM South Fletchers Arena
- The Hockey Hall of Fame will also be on hand to participate and obtain the Official Puck.
- Special Guests to Include but not limited to at this date with details TO FOLLOW

ONLINE SCORES & TOURNAMENTS RESULTS
- We will be attempting to go to a Paperless RESULTS Environment.
- In order to do so we have included a Wireless Laptop Setup at each arena.

- If the above occurs these results WILL ONLY BE POSTED inside ARENA # 2 Upstairs in the Spectators Section Wall @ SOUTH FLECTHERS ARENA.
- These will be Considered the official record if needed.
